As the days grow longer and you begin to plan your Outer Banks beach vacation, take a moment and schedule your family beach photo session. No matter where you are vacationing in the Outer Banks, whether it’s Duck, Nags Head, Kill Devil Hills, Corolla or Hatteras, let the light, waves and sand bring your family together for unforgettable moments.

Planning your family photo session can be a challenge. Keep in mind the colors that look good in the natural beach environment. The question often asked, “should we wear khaki and white”? Well, I have the answer for that:

Wearing khaki and white is ok, (if you cannot think outside of the box). The look comes across as a bit outdated. That does not mean that you cannot pull off the look, but it does help to update it with a few tweaks. Try adding a third color, such as: sage green, blue or coral. ( to name a few) Also, aim for coordinating outfits rather than wearing the same color on top and bottom.

Relax and enjoy the process, unwind with the wind, sun and ocean along the beaches of the Outer Banks.
